Rolling Stones Music – A Brief History

the rolling stones

The Rolling Stones is one of the most popular rock bands in history. They are an English rock band, which was released in April 1962.

It was founded by Brian Jones (guitar and harmonica), Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar) and Ian Stewart (piano). During its early years, the band simply reproduced the rhythm and blues and the music cover mostly American songs. They began to get fame when they started writing their own songs, reinventing itself as a real rock and roll and the release of generations of music the Rolling Stones fans have come to appreciate.

The history of the group.

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were friends in the 1950s and shared a passion for rock music, especially Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters. Soon Brian Jones, Ian Stewart and Charlie Watts met. Subsequently, the group decided to play blues music together and practice with the intention of starting their own rhythm and blues band.

Muddy Waters has had an obvious influence in the group, not only with the music of the Rolling Stones, but especially with their names. According to Keith Richards was Brian Jones, who thought the name of the group. Jones was on the phone by placing an ad for the group in a magazine. When asked what the group’s name was, Jones reported on the Muddy Waters LP with it and chose the song “Rolling Stone.”

Two major forces have contributed to the rapid success of the Rolling Stones. The first is the staging of Andrew Loog Oldham as manager and producer of the group in 1963. He is credited with giving the band his bad boy image a complete reversal of the good boy image that Beatles were a big hit over the years 60.

He also won the first recording contract with Decca Records, which had given them favorable conditions. It has been said because of the guilt of Decca executives sense at that time to go to the Beatles. Consequently, the Rolling Stones have behaved better royalty rate and more artistic freedom for their songs and albums.

The second big thing that has worked for the benefit of the Rolling Stones was the collaboration of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards composition. It was a way to emulate success with the duo Lennon / McCartney. It also paved the way for the band to become a band playing their own songs about what they were doing before, barely covering the songs.

There have been many changes in the composition of the group, but the most important was the departure of Brian Jones, considered by many as the true founder of the Rolling Stones. Jones died in 1969 due to drowning.

There is more to the band’s history, but just like with any other rock and roll group, it is often their earliest years the most important are judged. Because it was the time when the music of the Rolling Stones was forged, developed, and fans continued to love and enjoy.
