New version of music in history

We always hear about new music and the new version of music, but, in a closer look, these terms are words we speak vaguely. These are words sent forward with a certain intention of death and yet have no specific criteria. They are like other words that we also use with serious intention that also in the best of a subjective meaning; Words such as “God”, “soul” and “normal”.

First, when we use the words “new music”, we make the arrogant presumption that we can talk about the new music of our generation, just as previous generations did not have, and talk about new music. Back to the beginning of 1700, at the end of the life of J. S. Bach, where we will not find a single case of the arrival of new music. The son of J. S. Bach were among the supporters of this new music we now call classical.

The music of the day of J. S. Bach, Baroque, was a more complex form of music, we still see another example of the new music that implies the deformation and integral part of a popular movement. As a student, I had a music history teacher whose favorite theory was everything after J. S. Bach was a recycling facility, in a way. If you look at music in terms of just harmonies, it is difficult to speak against what you said.

Again, at this point, we see many lawsuits filed by one artist against another, saying that their song was “ripped”. This happened even at the time of the Classic Rock, and it is understandable, since the rock was older band big sound drifting.

Although we went through a dozen or more labels, like the new wave, punk and grunge, there has not been much movement away from the usual chord progressions. The Beatles were very crazy about the songs they had “seen” or stolen, which meant they took the structure of a song’s strings and changed the rhythm and lyrics. An obvious example of this is ‘no bells’ and ‘Little Boy’ appearing on the same album!

A recent article in The Times defended the process, saying that when an artist makes some changes to a song and individualises their own vision and interpretation, they have this (version) of the song.

Ironically, this corresponds more to the view that the composers of the baroque seemed to take. Bach did not intend to change Vivaldi’s violin concertos for key concerts when he thought that none of his own music performed with instruments totally different from the ones he had written for the original.

All this implies the question; Is it really the new music. Maybe it’s just the new music version.
