Jack Nicholson – one of the best players ever

Jack Nicholson is one of the most respected actors in the long and illustrious history of Hollywood. Featured in classics like The Shining, Chinatown and The Postman Always Rings Twice, early in his career, Jack has set the stage for a classic display behavior that proceed through mega-hits like The Witches of Eastwick, Wolf and The Bucket List.

The mere presence of Nicholson in A Few Good Men the film has made a resounding success. His famous phrase: “You can not handle the truth!” is one of the most repeated phrases movie of all time. At 72, Nicholson is still strong.

The man we know as “Jack” was born John Joseph Nicholson April 22, 1937 in Neptune, New Jersey. A child of the Great Depression, Nicholson’s early life was typical American, and stood for very little. Jack wanted to be an actor when he was finished with school, and shortly after he graduated at age 17, he moved west to Los Angeles to try to get into the business.

Real Life Story of Nicholson as a Hollywood tale and many actors have tried their approach since. He worked as a gofer at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and finally took a break and landed a role in The Killer Cry-Baby, a horror film in 1958 by Roger Corman.

Shortly after connecting with Roger, Jack met and married his first wife, Sandra Knight, had a daughter, Jennifer, and some horror movies at a reduced level, even taking the lead in his latest effort with Corman, 1963 is Horror. Many say that this time in the life of Jack helped with his performance in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, where he finally won the Oscar for best actor.

Over the years, critics have argued that the role of Nicholson were too similar, and through the 80s and 90s, his films were largely ignored. Until I got As Good As It Gets.
