Jazz, rock and country

Jazz, rock and country and western are some styles that owe much of their original blues progression. The contribution of blues music in the development of many other genres of music is very important. Blue was originally cultivated in the hardships endured by many generations of African Americans, and the first result of rural Mississippi, at the time of the early 20th century style developed from work calls (known as arhoolies) and became vocal narrative style we associate with blues music today.

Blues Music History

The blues is probably the purest American music ever produced – and his counterpart of jazz – is the only true form of American music. Its roots are in work songs of African slaves in the southwest. When were working hard in the fields of plantation owners in the South, slaves built a method of “call and response” song, giving rhythm to the monotony of their lives. It came to be called “field hollers” and became the basis of all blue ahead. After the end of the Civil War, blacks could be the work fieldwork or be traveling minstrels. Therefore, a number ended up being the last – bring all the sleepless nights, fish frys and juke joints, based on endurance and mental repertoire of many blues songs.

Mighty Blues officially born

While Blues lyrics seem sad soul, the music itself is quite powerful and emotional – full of rhythm and celebrate the lives of black Americans. What makes this kind of appealing music is reflected in their daily lives, talking about sex, drinking, poverty, lost love, hard work – all they have experienced.
